Well, unfortunately, Anet is finding out the hard way that they can't please everyone with every action they preform on their part. Also, not every update can be a winner. They may not have (all of) my confidence, but I still like them. <3

What's sad is just this year alone it's gotten much worse for them. Until the release of GWEN and the release of the GW2 Beta my decision on whether or not I will get GW2 will hinge on A-Net's ability to better themselves BEFORE GW2's official release. I want to love A-Net but it's hard to do that when they do lame Updates that cause problems and\or break the game.

Yeah well.. they're not pros at this yet. Which is why I assume there's gonna be a GW2; they needed a fresh start.

awesome a pvp patch that didn't affect pve at all.... see I knew it was possible!

here's to hoping the next skill balance isn't another pvp-induced thoughtless nerf-fest...

If you knew anything about anything, you'd understand why they do skill balances. Don't post stupidity because you are ignorant of the reasons behind updates.

i know why they do skill balances. I also know that they don't think through repercussions in other game modes when they do those balances. the skill balance guy only sees HA and HvH and GvG, and only bases the balances off of those. And if it breaks PvE, doesn't really give a damn. theres still some monsters in PvE that are horridly broken from skill balances that happened many months ago. don't post stupidity because you are ignorant of the reasons behind updates breaking things.

I didn't say unbeatable, I said broken. some are stronger than they should be, some are completely defenseless because one of their skills was nerfed bad... one example is mob that does no damage at all because the skill it uses was later tied to an attribute that it has no points in.

and then of course theres the whole other story of the effects on the players themselves in PvE...

i don't think the majority of players bother that much as long as PvE mobs are dying and they're progressing their game.

effects on players in PvE? they change their builds? you're not bringing up anything that hasn't been mentioned and answered before

No, I'm not. the problem is the answers aren't good. And the problem still exists. And that was my original point, hoping that they will step away from the PvE-killing PvP-based "balance" updates. (read: change to a new FOTM update)

And when Anet gives too much attention to PvE, PvP dies due to lack of balancing. So it's even.

like seriously! people can't complete PvE now due to all these damn skill balances, they've killed PvE!

Miral, still mourning the loss of SF, eh?

I like the the new capture point maps, as they will split up spike groups, but I miss Sacred Temples... and Fetid River is even tighter than Burial Mounds o_O

Because monster balance matters right? -_-

Anyway, I'll have to see these new maps for myself.

SF? lol thats funny, I never even used that spell once. it goes far beyond a single skill. hell, SF wasn't even that big of a nerf compared to some things, fire djinn are still deadly with it. but things like the whole SR fiasco, things like paragon skills becoming limited in scope because PvPers were using them on spirits... just ain't right. and its not even balance that they obtain in PvP with these nerfs, PvP people are hardly even affected by them, they just move on to a new FOTM. no matter how much balancing is done theres always going to be some tactic people bitch about and get it nerfed, until all the little twats have us all running around with starter weapons and no skills but echo mending, frenzy, healsig, and burning speed.

I sense much bitterness on the pvp side.......

as long as anet continues to force pvp and pve to obey the same rules, there will be this division in the community. That's pretty sad, because anet is drawing this line in the sand and the forums are where we bash each other. That frustration should really be aimed at anet.
